Backstory:
Lead pastor of a dually aligned (American Baptist/Southern Baptist) church in the San Francisco Bay Area for 35 years which grew over the years at glacial speed. In my final year we baptized 22 and worship attendance grew by 10%. For the last 20 years of my tenure the church was 40% Roman Catholic background, 30% varied background, 30% no previous church connection (new believers).
