Mission
The Lord Jesus Christ has received universal authority from God the Father. Therefore I, motivated and empowered by Jesus’ love for me in the gospel, will seek to equip pastors and church leaders to develop and execute systems designed to fulfill Jesus’ calling for the New Testament church: making disciple-makers of Jesus Christ.
Bio
Greg Bartlett is the founder of Thrive Church Consulting. He has started a Bible College, church planted, and most recently has joined two Illinois churches together. All three ministries continue to serve the Lord. He graduated from Bob Jones University B.A., M.A., MDiv. after doing all the coursework for a Ph.D. in Theology. He currently serves as Pastor Discipleship and Church Health at Harmony Baptist Church in Galesburg, IL. Through his church work experience and education, with the grace of Christ, he is ready to help churches thrive and to fulfill God's calling on them: to make disciple-makers of Jesus Christ.

Assistant Pastor - Harmony Baptist Church | Galesburg IL | June 2023 - Current
- Responsible for the oversight and development of Discipleship and Church Health.
- Examining the health of Harmony Baptist and reporting to the Senior Pastor on areas of growth.
- Developed a new church website (hbcgalesburg.org) to facilitate wider ministry and outreach.
- Encouraging the growth and development of leaders among the membership.
- Devising strategies for increasing vitality and spiritual growth within the church family.
- Promoting healthy teamwork, good communication and mutual respect both in and between the various teams.

Pastor - Bethany Baptist Church | Galesburg IL | February 2021 - June 2023
- Led Bethany Baptist Church to join with Harmony Baptist Church.
- Provided pastoral oversight for an aged church and their members, while dealing with many spiritual and physical trials.
- Offered pastoral counseling in times of crisis and ministered to the sick, dying, and bereaved.
- Introduced outreach programs aimed at drawing more people to our weekly services.
Church Planter/Founding Pastor - Northlight Baptist Church | Athabasca, Alberta | September 2012 - February 2021
- Commissioned by Meadowlands Baptist Church, led by Dr. Jim Tillotson.
- Identified an appropriate meeting place and established the church leadership team.
- Provided leadership in determining the church's direction, setting its pace, and establishing its permanency.
- Introduced the patterns for evangelism, worship, pastoral responsibility and church governance.
- Provided pastoral leadership through preaching, worship planning, visitation, pastoral care, biblical studies, counseling and administration.
- Organized ministries and services, and sought to counsel and lead disciple makers.
- Provided a biblically-based preaching and teaching ministry to meet the needs of the congregation and attract new members.
- Led the mission to develop spiritual disciplines and engage followers in worship, community, and ministry.
